What is the law of motor vehicle exhausts in Queensland?

There are a few regulations regarding the exhausts of vehicles in queensland. THis is under the TRANSPORT OPERATIONS (ROAD USE MANAGEMENT--VEHICLE STANDARDS AND SAFETY) REGULATION 1999 - SCHEDULE 1. Under s136 and following, the legal limit for noise from a car exhaust is 90db. Also, if the exhaust billows fumes which are polluting, unsightly, poisonous or flammable, this can be illegal under the Environmental Protection Legislation.
